The UNIBEN Academic Calendar is accessible online for all newly admitted and returning students of the institution. Students can now log in check their academic activities and get prepared for classes and exams.
The University of Benin, UNIBEN academic calendar contains the official school resumption date and other academic activities dates. It also serves as a guide to all staff in the institution, lecturers, students, etc. towards the school year’s activities.

| September 18 – November 24, 2023 | Commencement of lectures for 1st semester 2023/2024 session for all new students |
| October 2 – October 5 | Orientation for new students |
| October 2 – October 15, 2023 | Registration with penalty (2 weeks) |
| November 27 – December 1, 2023 | Revision exercise for the 1st-semester examination for all students (1 week) |
| December 4 – December 22, 2023 | 1st-semester examination for all students (3 weeks) |
| January 2 – January 19, 2024 | 1st-semester examination for year 1 students (3 weeks) |
| December 25 – January 14, 2024 | 1st-semester break for all students (3 weeks) |
| January 15, 2024 | Commencement of 2nd semester 2022/2023 for all students |
| January 15 – February 4, 2024 | Registration without penalty (3 weeks) |
| February 5 – February 18, 2024 | Registration with penalty (2 weeks) |
| January 15 – April 7, 2024 | Lectures for all students (12 weeks) |
| April 8 – April 12, 2024 | Students week (1 week) |
| April 15 – April 20, 2024 | Revision exercise for the 2nd-semester of 2024/2025 session for all students (1 week) |
| April 22 – May 11, 2024 | 2nd-semester examinations for all students (3 weeks) |
| May 13 – July 7, 2024 | Long vacation for all students (8 weeks) |
| July 8, 2024 | Commencement of 2024/2025 session |
