NABTEB Portal Login: Students who have registered for NABTEB can now log in to their profile through the Board’s portal. How Long Does NABTEB Program Last?

The duration for the NABTEB O’Level program is six (6) months, while for A’Level Program is nine (9) months.

Can NABTEB certificates be used to enter higher institutions?

Before now, JAMB accepted NABTEB as a requirement for direct entry into the university. However, that is no longer the case. On Thursday, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) stated categorically that NABTEB will no longer be considered for admission into the university.

Can NABTEB be Used to Leave the Country?

While this may be possible, it will be quite difficult. This is because O-Level NABTEB Certificates are not accepted at all. Whilst A-Level NABTEB Certificates are accepted in very few low-level colleges.

Requirements to create a NABTEB Profile.

The prerequisites for creating a valid NABTEB profile have been listed below to make it easy for you.

Candidates will need to capture their biometrics. Only the right and left thumb is required. Candidates can pick up a copy of the NABTEB Biometric Data Capture Application from any nearest NABTEB office.
During your profile creation, candidates will be required to put in their full name, PIN and serial number.
Candidates will also be required to upload a recent passport photograph.
Once the Biometric Data Capturing and Profile Creation are successful, candidates should proceed to the online registration portal.
Candidates must note that without biometric data capturing, they cannot proceed to register online.
A form will be displayed. Candidates are to read the instructions written down there and follow them accordingly to ensure a successful registration.
Candidates should try to avoid any costly error which may lead to rejection of registration or revocation of admission.
When you are sure your registration is complete, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Print the hard copy of your photo card and registration form.

How to check your photo card on NABTEB

Enter your CIN (Candidate Identification Number). It should be eight (8) digits.
Type in the serial number that is on the reverse side of your scratch card. Please note that the serial number starts with an alphabet followed by digits. For instance, N234567819.
Then send an SMS with this format Exam Number – PIN – Exam Type – Exam Year to the code 32327.

How to Create and Access Your NABTEB Profile.

To Create Your Profile

Visit the Board’s official portal at novdec.nabteb.gov.ng
Enter your valid pin and serial number, and begin your registration.
Fill up the form, upload the necessary documents, and click submit when done.
Please ensure that you input your correct data. Falsified information can be detrimental to your application or admission offer.

To Access Your Profile

Go to the Board’s portal.
Type in your username and password.
Click on Login.
Candidates who have forgotten their passwords, can click on the ‘Forgot Password?’ button to reset their password.

How to check your NABTEB Result.

Enter your CIN
Select your Exam Type.
Enter the year you took the exam. E.g., 1999. 2004, 2012, etc.
Enter your Card Serial Number.
Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your scratch card. It is a twelve (12) digit number.
Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Your result will come up on the screen.

Can I use someone else’s scratch card?

No, each scratch card is tailored to be used by one candidate per time. You cannot use another candidate’s scratch card even if you people are siblings.

When you are done click ‘Submit’.

How many times am I allowed to edit my registration?

A candidate can edit his / her registration for three (3) times only.

How can I change my passport?

Changing a passport is quite tricky. Candidates cannot change their passport photograph once it has been captured during the biometric application. However, an authorized NABTEB Administrator can make changes for the candidate.

The process is a long and rigorous one. Thus, students are advised to avoid such errors in order to save time.

Where can I purchase a Scratch Card?

For now, scratch cards can only be purchased at the National Office of NABTEB or any branch and zonal offices all over Nigeria. In the nearest future, NABTEB may have designated outlets that make the scratch cards available to candidates.
