About the Nigerian Police

The Nigerian Police was first created in 1820. It first originated in Lagos as a creation of a 30-man Consular Guard in 1861. The small guard soon expanded to 600 men in 1871 and was renamed the “Hausa Police.”.

Applicants must not be more than eighteen (18) years of age or older than twenty-five (25) years.
Applicants must possess a WAEC or NECO certificate.
He/she should have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in his/her O’Level result including English Language and General Mathematics.
