Eligibility and Qualifications for Recruitment into Ekiti State University

Depending on the position you are applying for, there are certain requirements you must have:

For Director of Health Services:

  1. You must have a degree in Medicine from an approved Nigerian University.
  2. You must also be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  3. You must have a minimum of two (2) years experience as a Deputy Director or five (5) years as Deputy Chief Medical Officer in a public university.
  4. It is necessary that you have a Master’s Degree in Public/Community Health.

For Director of Audit.

  1. You must have an Honor’s Degree (not less than 2nd class lower division) in Accounting or any related discipline.
  2. You should have a minimum of 15 (fifteen) years of experience working in a tertiary institution or with CONTISS or as a Deputy Director of Audit in a public university.
  3. You must be a registered member of any of the following professional bodies – ACMA, ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ICAN, and CA.
  4. You have to be familiar with the use of the Computer.
  5. Having a higher degree (like a Master’s) in a related field will be an added advantage.

For Director of Physical Planning

  1. You should have a second-class (upper division) or first-class degree in any of the following – Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Building Technology, or Architecture.
  2. You should have at least 15 years of working experience in a tertiary institution or as a Deputy Director of Physical Planning in a public university or both.
  3. You should be a registered member of any of the following professional bodies – NIESV, TOPREC, NITP, NIQS, NIA, ARCON, CORBON, NIOB, and COREN.
  4. Having a higher degree (like a Master’s) in a related field will be an added advantage.

For Director of Works and Services

  1. Aspirants should have a second-class (upper division) or first-class degree in any of the following – Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  2. Aspirants must have at least fifteen (15) years’ of work experience in a tertiary institution or five (5) years on CONTISS or two (2) years as Deputy Director of Works in a public university.
  3. Aspirants should be registered with any of the following professional bodies – CORBON, NIOB, or COREN.
  4. Having a higher degree (like a Master’s) in a related field will be an added advantage.

For the Director of Procurement

  1. Applicants should have a second-class (upper division) or first-class degree in any of the following – Mathematics, Statistics, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing and Supply, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  2. You should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ work experience in a tertiary institution, with CONTISS or as a Deputy Director of Procurement in a Public University.
  3. You have to be registered with the Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
  4. Having a higher degree (like a Master’s) in a related field will be an added advantage.

For Bursar

  1. You should have a second-class (upper division) or first-class degree in any of the following – Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or any related discipline.
  2. You should also have a membership with any of the following professional bodies – ANAN, ACMA, CA, ICAN, ACCA, or ACA.
  3. You should have at least fifteen (15) years’ experience working in a university or as a Deputy Bursar in a public university.
  4. You should not be above sixty (60) years at the time of application.
  5. Having a higher degree in a related field or knowledge of the use of computers will be an added advantage.
