To be able to login to the ICAN portal you must register first and for you to register, you must meet the eligibility criteria. Let’s look at the ICAN certificate eligibility and requirements as we proceed.

ICAN Certification Eligibility Criteria

Every accounting graduate is eligible to apply but you must possess some certain certificates before you can apply. The following are the documents you must have to apply:

O’level result with at least of credits in 5 subjects.
Passport photograph
Your degree certificate from a university
Or an HND certificate from a well-known polytechnic.

ICAN Requirements

The following are the requirements for Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria registration.

For Professional Students

University degree certificate
Must be from a reputable University accredited by
Higher National Diploma which must be from a recognized Polytechnic accredited by the appropriate council.
And any other qualification that the body may require of its students

For ATSWA students

Must possess 5 credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in the WASCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB or its equivalent,
SSCE should not exceed two sittings
Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
Any other qualification that the body may require of its students
National Certificate in Education (NCE) from any reputable College of Education.

ICAN Professional Student Application Procedures

Visit the official ICAN application website at www.icanig.org/RPlogin.php
Pay your ₦7,000 ICAN professional examination registration fee
Proceed with the online application using the transaction reference and receipt number
Scan and fix your recent passport photograph
Cross-check your form and click on submit.
Print out the completed form
And sign it.
Your form must be endorsed and certified by a chartered accountant who is acting as your sponsor.
Please provide their name, membership number, and contact number.

ICAN ATSWA Student Application Procedures

Pay the ATSWA registration fee of ₦6,000 to ICAN
Complete the online application form at the ICAN official website via www.icanig.org/RPlogin.php
Scan and fix your recent passport photograph
Cross-check your form and click on submit
Print out the completed form
And sign it.
Your form must be endorsed and certified by a chartered accountant who is acting as your sponsor.
Please provide their name, membership number, and contact number.

How to Apply for ICAN Membership

Pay an Induction fee of N100,000.
Visit the ICAN website at http://www.icanonline-ngr.com/paydirect
Generate your PIN and serial numbers using your deposit slip and receipt numbers.
Enter your Student Registration Number and PIN
Fill out the form application form
Upload your passport-sized photograph
Then submit your application.
Print the form
Have your referee sign the form.
Attach every necessary documents
Forward your proof of payment to ICAN
