Portal Closing Date for School Fee Payment in UNIBEN

The University of Benin Management Board has announced and released the deadline for the closure of the portal for all payment of fees and registration of courses. The management board has advised students, both fresh and returning students, to do well to make their payment before the deadline meets with them.

The portal closure is to let the students know when they are to be done with anything concerning the closing of the portal for registration. Since the school follows its academic calendar, they do well to make sure that everything goes accordingly without students having to pay fees for the last semester in the present semester.

It is important to note that the most important thing in any University is the payment of school fees. Every other thing is not being cared for by any university. So as a student, it is important for all students to pay for their fees early so as they won’t be caught up with the deadline.
As a student, when you do not meet up with the deadline, you might likely not be allowed to pay again. Before the deadline, the University usually adds an additional sum of money, which is usually called the penalty fee and the amount is usually up to N3,000 (Three Thousand Naira Only).

If, as a student, you do not have the exact amount to pay for that period, you can simply generate an RRR and pay later. This RRR makes it look like you have paid for the school fees and with this, even if the school fee deadlines meet with you, you will still be allowed to pay.

It is important to note that the school fee is not paid in bit, you either have to pay in a semester or you pay in a session to the University. Note that before paying this fee, make sure that you have checked the amount your department is paying for the fee, as any school fee will not be refunded to any student. The penalty fee is also not refunded for any student.

If after the deadline you haven’t paid the fees, it will be assumed by the school that you might have filed for a suspension of studies or be redrawn from the school. The portal will be closed on the 30th of November 2023 for all fresh and returning students. you can visit the school portal at www.waeup.uniben.edu for more information.
