Eligibility Criteria for the NAACP Scholarships

The following are the criteria that make one eligible for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Scholarship:

  1. Must be a member of the NAACP.
  2. Must be African American.
  3. Must be a person of color.
  4. Must be presently enrolled full-time in an academic institution.
  5. Must have already been accepted to a reputable university or college in the United States.
  6. Must be on a grade point average of 3.0 or above for a 4.0 score system.
  7. Demonstrate interest in a relevant field or study.

How to Apply for NAACP Scholarships

  1. Go to the association’s official scholarship portal at naacp.org/find-resources/scholarships-awards-internships/scholarships.
  2. Check for the scholarship you are applying for.
  3. Read through the scholarship guidelines.
  4. Click on “Apply”.
  5. Upload all required documents and credentials.
  6. Submit.

You can also apply to join the association at www.naacp.org.

Note: Once an application that contains fraudulent information is detected, such application will be disqualified even without notifying the application. Also, if you are not contacted then your application was not successful.
