About NLNG Scholarship Programme

NLNG is a Nigerian oil and gas corporation that specializes in the marketing, production, and shipment of Liquefied natural gas and natural gas liquids. Its first LNG cargo was delivered in October 1999 and later in 2008, A sixth train was finished.

It was founded in 1989 and has subsidiaries called Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited which provides shipping services. However, most of NLNG’s employees reside and work on Bonny Island.

In 1998, the NLNG scholarship was established critically as an educational intervention program for its host communities and later expanded to all Nigerian students in 2003. Since the inception of the program, about 2,833 undergraduates from various universities in Nigeria have benefited from the scholarship scheme with a spend of over N600 million.

NLNG Scholarship Value/Worth

NLNG scholarship value cannot be over emphasis, each successful candidate was given N100, 000 but currently, each awardee is awarded N300,000 per academic year and this runs throughout the duration of the student’s course.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be fully registered in a recognized Nigerian University.
Must be a 100 or 200-level student during the time of application
Must have SSCE, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB
Must present his/her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
Admission letter from University and Matriculation Number.
All direct entry student must present their A-level or Equivalent Certificate
Students with less than 2.50 CGPA on a 5-point scale, or equivalent

Other required documents to present are:

A recent passport-sized photograph
University Admission Letter or JAMB (UTME or D/E);
UTME Scores
O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result
State of origin certificate
LGA certificate
NIN

How to Apply for NLNG Scholarship

Visit the official NLNG scholarship application website via www.nigerialng.com
Navigate to the CSR menu and click on Education.
Under Education, click on the Scholarship button.
Select the scholarship type “NLNG undergraduate scholarship”.
Complete the form with your details and upload the required documents.
And submit your application
