UMYU Post UTME Form is out. The commencement of Post UTME Registration and Direct Entry admission Screening form for 2024/2025 academic session at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University is currently ongoing and available online via www.umyu.edu.ng. See below for how to apply, requirements, closing date, and registration fee.

Were you among those that sat for 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and you chose Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Kastina as your first choice during registration? If yes, there is great news for you today.

UMYU post UTME/DE Form for 2024/2025 academic session is out. For this reason, all newly admitted students for both UTME/DE are advised to make payment of the acceptance fee which is N5,000 for indigenes and N10,000 for non-indigenes plus some charges. Also, print admission letters and proceed with their central registration.

Note that the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, UMYU post UTME/DE form central registration commences on 11th October 2023.

UMYU Post UTME Form 2023/2024 

This is to notify all new candidates who sat and passed the just concluded 2023/2024 UTME that the UMYU post-UTME form is out and the registration commences on 11th October to ends on Friday 24th November, 2024. Note that this registration is for both post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates. You can visit the school website at www.umyu.edu.ng for more information.

Prior to this, to be eligible for the UMYU Post UTME Form, qualified candidates must have scored the minimum cut-off marks of 150 and above for some courses from the 2023 UTME examination, which was conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), obtained five relevant O’ level credits, and passed the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2023 JAMB examination.

Furthermore, Direct Entry (DE) candidates must obtain at least five O’ level relevant credits, including English and Mathematics, and at least ‘A’ level points for their applied programme. The 2024 JAMB Result Slip for UTME candidates or JAMB Registration Slip for DE candidates, along with O’Level Result(s) and identification forms, is required for Direct Entry (DE) candidates.

UMYU Post UTME Form 2023/2024 Registration Guidelines

Undergraduate Registration Guidelines

The following are the general instructions and UMYU post UTME registration steps for all qualified candidates to follow.

Stage One: Admission Letter Printing Procedure 

For New Students Only (Undergraduate)
  • First, login to https://umyu.edu.ng/ 
  • Navigate to the Payment of Acceptance fee and click on it.
  • And also, click on Print Admission Letter on the left side of the menu bar.
  • Once you click, the link will redirect you to the original portal.
  • Login by entering your JAMB registration number and password (for post UTME only).
  • Click on Acceptance Fee to make your payment. (Note that the UMYU acceptance fee is N5,000 for indigenes and N10,000 for non-indigenes, and other charges include N300 for the processing fee and N50 for stamp duty.)
  • Also, you can make your payment by using a bank branch (where you will print out the RRR or transaction ID and take it to the bank branch for payment) or Pay Now (this method involves using an ATM card).
  • Most importantly, ensure you print out your receipt transaction after payment of your acceptance fee.
  • Once your payment is completed, you’ll be redirected to a link on the portal to print your UMYU admission letter.
  • On the left side of the home page, click Print Other Forms. (This form includes Associated documents for registration.)
  • When you’re done printing your admission letter and other forms, click on login to be redirected to the student portal to start filling out the online UMYU Post UTME Form.
Stage Two: Registration and Payment Procedure 

This is for a fresher (new) Students Only (Undergraduate)

  • Once you login to the students’ portal, please confirm your level and update your personal profile by filling out all the required fields.
  • You’re to upload your passport photograph and signature in JPEG format, no larger than 100kb, and provide your correct email, home address, and phone number.
IMPORTANT NOTES
  • You are required to upload your scanned passport photograph and signature in JPEG format (maximum 100kb) for online registration.
  • After updating your profile, click the ‘Save Profile’ button at the bottom of the page to be redirected to the Payment Page.
Stage Three: Access to Student Portal 

This is for Newly Admitted Students Only (Undergraduate)

  • After successful payment, you’re required to login to the school portal to obtain their Matric Number and provide evidence of payment to the ICT Directorate for verification.
  • Note that to login to the portal, you must use your official email address to complete your registration.
Stage Four: Student ID Card Generation 

This stage is only for New Students (Undergraduate).

  • You are required to upload your passport and signature as per the requirements in Stage 2.
  • The date for the collection of student ID cards will be announced at the Security Unit (SU).

UMYU Post UTME Form Screening Registration Instructions

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Admission Screening System allows payment, application form submission, application details editing, profile viewing, and screening status checking.

Here is how to apply for the UMYU post-UTME/DE screening form.

  • Visit https://collegeportal.umyu.edu.ng/ug/applicant/index/
  • Click on Register a New Account on the bottom part of the page and fill out the online registration form.
  • Note that the registration is done once; if you’ve registered before, you’re advised not to register again; just login to your account to fill out your form.
  • After making a successful payment, log in to your profile and edit your application profile, which will require your recent passport photograph and biodata.
  • Once you’re done filling out the online registration form, ensure to print out your Screening Acknowledgement Slips
  • You’re to check your admission status frequently to confirm if you’re shortlisted.

UMYU Post UTME/DE Screening Exam/Requirements

  • UTME candidates must bring a payment slip for the aptitude test and submit hard copies of their credentials at the test venue, with the test date indicated on the registration slip.
  • Direct entry candidates are advised to provide hard copies of their credentials to the registrar’s office after completing their online registration.
  • Candidates with visual impairments are exempt from the Post-UTME aptitude test but are requested to provide hard copies of their credentials to the registrar’s office.
  • Qualified applicants are required to bring a payment slip for the screening and aptitude test.
  • Moreover, the aptitude test is scheduled for November 25th, 2023, and candidates must choose UMYU as their first choice institution and meet all admission requirements for their chosen program.

How to Apply for UMYU Post UTME Form.

  • First, login to https://umyu.edu.ng/ 
  • Navigate to the Payment of Acceptance fee and click on it
  • And also, click on Print Admission Letter on the left side of the menu bar.
  • Once you click, the link will redirect you to the original portal.
  • Login by entering your JAMB registration number and password (for post-UTME only).
  • Click on the post UTME form fee to make your payment. Note that the UMYU post-UTME fee is N2,000. This fee is for both indigenes and non-indigenes
  • Also, you can make your payment by using a bank branch (where you will print out the RRR or transaction ID and take it to the bank branch for payment) or Pay Now (this method involves using an ATM card).
  • Once your payment is completed, you’ll be redirected to a link on the portal to fill out the UMYU post UTME form.
  • Note that you’ll be required to upload valid and legal identification such as an NIN, international passport, etc., and N2,000 is the UMYU post UTME form fee.

UMYU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Eligibility:

  • Candidates who selected Umar Musa Yar’Adua University, Katsina, as their first choice institution during the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration
  • The UTME candidate is required to have a minimum score of 150 or higher in the UTME Examination, conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
  • The JAMB Brochure requires candidates to have at least five O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Direct Entry candidates must obtain at least five O’ level relevant credits, including English and Mathematics, in their applied programmes, along with minimum ‘A’ level points.
  • Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years old.
  • Candidates who didn’t choose Umar Musa Yar’Adua University during UTME/Direct Entry Registration but wish to study should switch to UMYU via the JAMB website.

UMYU Post UTME Form Application Closing Date

The application deadline for online submission of UMYU Post UTME/DE registration is Friday 24th November, 2024.

UMYU Post UTME Screening and Aptitude Test

The UMYU screening/aptitude test exercise dates, venue, and modality will be communicated to registered candidates at a later date.
