Schools Resumption Date in Nigeria 2024/2025 Session

The official resumption date for Nigerian schools has been fixed and is set to commence immediately.

The Federal Ministry of Education has set Monday 11th September 2024 as the official school resumption date in Nigeria. This is aimed at aligning all academic activities with the already approved academic calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Note that this resumption date is for all schools in Nigeria including the Unity schools (Federal and State government colleges) across the federation.

Resumption Dates for Primary and Secondary Schools (Unity Schools)

All Federal Government Colleges (unity schools) have been announced to resume as follows:

Junior Secondary School (Day and boarding students) is to resume on Monday 11th September 2023.
Senior Secondary Schools (Day and boarding students) to Monday 11th September 2023.

Federal Universities/Schools Resumption Date In Nigeria 2024/2025

The federal government have announced the official higher institutions resumption date in Nigeria to be Monday 11th September, 2024 following the Nigerian Labour Congress two-day warning strike.

All students are hereby informed to get prepared to avoid missing their first week of classes. However, some schools might alter this date due to some reasons. So read below the resumption dates of your school.
