How To Create Your Profile for the JAMB Application on the Portal

The first step to properly fill in your form is to create a valid Jamb profile. These steps will teach you how to create your Jamb profile successfully.

You have to first generate your National Identification Number (NIN).
Send the generated NIN through text to 55019 or 66019 from your unique phone number.
The correct method to send your NIN is to type it in block letters, leave a space, and then add your NIN number. The NIN number has to be eleven (11) digits. If written correctly, the text message should look like this: ‘NIN 27745590221’
Once the message has been sent, you will receive a profile code on that same number. The code must be 10 digits. For returning students, your profile code will be the same as the previous year and you will receive it on the same number you used to apply.
Once you have successfully created your profile, you can then use it for your Jamb registration, examination, and admission.

How To Access Your Profile for the JAMB Application

To access your profile on your Jamb portal, take these steps:

Go to the Jamb portal and type in your email address.
You will see two spaces provided for typing in your email. Fill in your email in those spaces. To ensure that you constantly have access to your email even after you have forgotten your password, you will be asked to choose a question of your choice and provide an answer that only you should know. Make sure that you remember the question you chose and the answer you gave.
Click ‘verify email’ so that your email can be validated.
