The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has commenced its annual nationwide recruitment for 2023/2024 and has called all interested candidates to apply. Candidates who wish to apply for the ongoing Police recruitment are to visit the official Nigerian Police recruitment portal to start their application.

All candidates who meet the Police recruitment requirements are advised to begin their application from www.policerecruitment.gov.ng. Note that graduates and non-graduates can apply, the major educational qualification needed is the Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).

All applicants should meet the following requirement before proceeding to the portal to apply

  • Applicants  must be Nigerian Citizens
  • Applicants must be of good conduct
  • Applicants with a trace of criminal activities will not be considered
  • Applicants must have a certificate of local government and state of origin
  • Interested applicants must be physically and mentally sound for the job
  • Applicants must have a certificate of registration of birth
  • Applicants must good excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants with a B.SC, B.ED, or B. A (Ed), HND, OND, or NCE certificate from an accredited institution is an added advantage
  • Applicants must have SSCE, NECO, or GCE with 5 credits passes in related subjects including English and mathematics (not more than two sittings) 
  • Female applicants must have a height of about 1.63m or 5.3ft
  • Applicants must have a valid means of identification; International passport, driver’s license, National Identification Card, Voters card, or National Identification Number
  • Applicants must be willing to work in new areas
  • Non-tradesmen must not be above 22 years and below 17
  • Tradesmen must not be above 24 years and below 17
  • Male applicants must have a height of about 1.66m or 5.4ft
