Use of Exam Machinery

If it is against the conduct of using machinery for the WAEC examination, you can be banned from ever writing the examination. So as a candidate, if you had used machinery, it could be that they may have suspected it and withheld your result for crosschecks.

Caught making noise during the Examination

It is prohibited to disturb or make noise during the WAEC examination as this can subtract marks from your scripts or you may be asked to fill out a form for malpractice because it is actually seen as a form of malpractice during the examination.

So if you were making noise or whispering during the examination and you were asked to fill out a form or even asked for your name, this could be a problem as you are likely seen doing exam malpractice, and definitely, your result will be withheld.

Were you asked to fill out the form?

If for any reason, you did something which you were told not to do or you were among those who brought in machinery or even brought in your smartphone to the examination hall and you were caught, you will definitely be asked to fill out the form and the form is an exam malpractice form, only for students who do not wish to abide by the rule and conduct of the examination.

So due to one reason or the other, you were asked to fill out the form, this could be one of the reasons why your result may be withheld.

Examination malpractice

This is one of the prominent reasons why any student exam can be withheld. If you had done an examination malpractice such as bringing in books from outside to the hall or writing the answers on your legs or even on a small sheet of paper and then bringing it into the examination hall, you are now caught, you may most likely be asked to fill a form because you have gone against the conduct of the examination.
