Step 1 First is that when you are done with your project defense you need to start processing your things for clearance before service. You don’t need to be told that you have to do your clearance or it is time to do your clearance by the department before you start doing it.

You need to first check and make sure you have cleared all the courses in the department without leaving any and if you might have had carryover, do well to complete it and make sure you have passed before you start doing your clearance.

Step 2 You need to check if your department has brought out the list for all those graduating. Make sure your name is among those who are graduating and you have to be approved by the department to be cleared. Make sure you are not owing your department, as this could stop you from graduating.

Step 3 Go to your faculty and sign your course forms there. Do good to bring all of your faculty dues, from your 100-level classes to the capstone ones, and present them to the dean as proof that you have paid all necessary dues or cleared all debt. He will sign the clearance form and hand it to you to keep.

Step 4 After he issues a clearance document, you must visit the student affairs section to obtain another clearance from them.

Step 5 You will now need to bring both forms to your department so that the Head of the Department can sign them after receiving another clearance form.

Step 6 It is important to bring all of your library cards when you pick up the form from the department and take it to the library for signatures. The signature is required. You will be required to pay the price of N500 for each level library card that you do not have or have lost if you do not have any.

Step 7 You now return it to the Student Affairs department together with your fee clearing card for the Dean of Student Affairs’ signature.

You will now need to return it to the faculty where you originally picked up the first form and have it signed.

Step 8 Once finished, you must pay the alumni due, currently N3500, online and bring the receipt to the UNIUYO Permanent Site, where the office is located, for signature.

Step 9 You can use this time to apply for NYSC, but you cannot return it to the bursary for final signature before mobilization.
