It has come to our notice that the Federal Government has officially come up with a scholarship program to help all public University students.

All undergraduate students through the scholarship program will earn stipends of N75,000 every semester, while NCE Students will earn a stipend of N50,000 per semester.

As a student who is interested in the scholarship program, you have to be seen as eligible for the bursary award, and to be eligible for the award, you have to meet all requirements.

The most important requirement to meet the bursary award is to enroll in any degree program in education. This will show that the bursary program supports individuals who wish and have a strong commitment to pursuing a career in education.

This means when you are fully student and have a profile on the school portal; it will send information to the bursary program support to show you are serious about your education and wish to grow in your career when done with the degree program.

Additionally, it is expected of all interested students to be full-time students at any higher institution of learning. This program seeks to support only full-time students who are serious about pursuing their academics and are actively engaged in their studies at the University.

It is important to note that this program is open to all eligible candidates which also includes students with physical disabilities.

Aside from meeting the requirements of the bursary in your institution, you also have to meet the FSBN scholarship program requirement.

Some of the requirements include; that all applicants must be in their first year of study or above. This means that only students who have completed their one year of academic program are fully eligible to apply for the scholarship program.

However, it is also important to note that interested applicants who are already on any kind of scholarship in the Institution are not eligible to apply for this scholarship program as it is understood that this scholarship program is only to the benefit of those who have not received any form of financial assistance.

FSBN Scholarship Application Requirements

Here are other relevant requirements you must meet in order to be eligible for the scholarship program.

It is important to note that all interested applicants who intend to pursue any postgraduate programs or studies must meet the requirement of having at least a minimum second-class Honors Division. This will show a satisfactory level of academic achievement in your Undergraduate studies.
However, it is important for you as interested candidates who wish to further for postgraduate program to be a full-time student as this will show that you are serious and dedicated to pursuing your postgraduate studies in any institution of your choice.
If you are an interested student pursuing your undergraduate program, higher national diploma, or Nigeria Certificate in Education, you have to be registered as a full-time student either at any Federal or public University, Polytechnics, College of Education, and Monotechnics.
As an interested candidate, you must have a CGPA of at least 3.5 or even 4.0 as this will show an advanced level of education that you have attained.

The first thing you have to do is to log into the official website portal via www.education.gov.ng or go to the register website via www.fsbn.com.ng on any of your preferred browsers.
It is important to note that this scholarship application is actually an online base application for all candidates and all applicants are expected to submit an online application through the link above.
All interested candidates must fill out the online form before submitting the form.
Do well to give all the required information accordingly and accurately before submitting the form.
When done, you then print a copy of the form after submitting the form online.
All interested applicants are expected to submit the form together with the photocopies of their admission letter and their current school identification card.
Finally, it is important to note that multiple submissions are not allowed. This means you should try as much as possible to submit your form once and not multiple times as it won’t be accepted.
