  • Applicants must prove that their business idea or entity is original. That is to say, applicants must have certifications that prove they have applicable rights, authorizations, consents and licenses to the business they are presenting. Doing otherwise can be a ground for disqualification.
  • Applicants can only submit one business idea or entity per entry. Submitting different business ideas/entities or submitting the same business idea/entity under a different identity could be a ground for disqualification.
  • A TEF Alumni or their business partner (s) should not reapply for the program subsequently, even if it is for a different business name or idea. This is considered as multiple application and could be a ground for disqualification.
  • The application and submission should be made by the individual behind the business idea or entity and not some other person. Put differently, third-party entries will not be accepted.
  • Applicants should avoid using methods such as automated devices or processors, macros, and scripts. Doing that could be grounds for disqualification.
  • Applicants must be eighteen (18) years and above at the time of application.
  • Applicants must have a permit from the government to conduct business in the country where they are located.
  • Applications that are considered offensive or to be in any way affiliated with terrorist or illegal activities will be rejected.
