UNICAL Hostel Application Form: It has come to our notice that the University of Calabar has announced and released its Hostel application form online and the is available to all eligible students, both Freshers and returning students.

So if you are a fresher or returning student, this is your opportunity to apply and get your hostel accommodation while it is not too late.

The management body of the University of Calabar has just released and announced that the UNICAL hostel accommodation is out online for all students who wish to stay and enjoy the benefits of the hostel.

The UNICAL Hostel is very free, and spacious, and it has lots of benefits. It has electricity, water, and wardrobes for students and their environment is serene.

The Unical Hostel does not require any student to come in with his or her cooking utensils, as it is prohibited in the school hostel. You can only eat outside the school. But there are food stores in the school community that allow the student to quickly run out and get food, and then come back without having to leave the school environment.

The school offers this great service to students, especially those who stay far away from the locality or state; they do not permit pregnant women to stay in the hostel as it is very risky and they do not allow a student with a disability to stay with other fellow students as it could be risky and frustrating for the student with a disability. They have their hostel.

The University offers a good spacious environment with people to take care of the hostel environment. In the hostel, they have canteens that help students quickly buy snacks just in case they get hungry in the evening. This will not only keep them safe, it will help them stay in with problems. The school also offers security to look after the hostel areas as it is important to the school.

In the UNICAL Hostel, some rules and regulations bind the hostel and all students staying in the hostel; You cannot stay out late till 10 pm as the hostel will be locked and reopen by 5 am.

We also know that all students stay in the same hostel despite the level or department that they are in. This will not only help all the students get along with each other, but it will help them be united no matter the area or country each is coming from.

It will also help the freshers to stay and meet with their senior colleagues either from the same department or different departments and, from this, they get to learn from them concerning both the school’s rules and regulations and also about academics.

The accommodation fee at the University of Calabar is about N21,500 (Twenty-0ne Thousand, Five Hundred Naira). This fee is a non-refundable fee for all students. All students should apply for the hostel fee early, as this will help them get a good space in the hostel. It is called first come, first serve. If you apply late, you might either not get the space or you get a bad space which you might likely not be comfortable with.

There are also cases where some student use their money to buy spaces for another student who, for one reason or the other, did not apply for the space early or even came late because of the location he or she is coming from.

The student buys it and could sell it at a higher price and the student looking for the pace will have to buy to have where to stay in the hostel. Some students use this to earn money in school.
So if you know you do not have the money to buy from another student, do well to apply for the space early to avoid problems.

How to Apply for the UNICAL Hostel Application Form

Here are the steps you will have to follow to adequately and correctly apply for the hostel space in UNICAL.

Step 1 You need to open your browser and search in the UNICAL Hostel application portal, which is via unical.edu.ng.

Step 2 Do well to enter your Confirmation order number or pin, which is always indicated on the school fee receipt.

Step 3 At this point, you have to choose the academic session from the drop-down list, like 2023/2024.

Step 4 Then you have to click on validation to make sure the application is being verified properly.

Step 5 When done with verifying the application, you then choose the preferred hostel on the application form and complete the registration.

Step 6 When you are done with verifying and selecting your preferred hostel, you then select the submit button to submit your application form and wait for the shortlisted students, which will be released in no time.

UNICAL hostels Compilation

At the University of Uyo, we have different hostels which you can choose from. We have Hall 2, Hall 2 Annex, Hall 4, Hall 5, Hall 5 Annex, Hall 6, 7,8,9 and Hall 10. We also have the Wandsworth Hostel and the UNICAL Female Special Hostel.

The hostel space at the UNICAL female special hostel, which has self-con, is always being owned by 2 people each and it costs about N60,000 (Sixty Thousand Naira Only). It is amazing, having to enjoy all these benefits just staying in the hostel with everything you need in it.
