All prospective candidates for NECO 2024 are to commence registration before the closing date.

NECO Registration Portal

The National Examination Council (NECO) registration has been declared open by the management and the registration has been kick-started immediately. All candidates who wish to sit for the NECO examination for 2024 are advised to begin their registration.

It is pertinent to meet the required requirements before commencing this registration. All applicants must reach at least 16 years and must complete SS3 or SS2 of secondary school education be it private or public. The management also instructed that all candidates aspiring to register for the 2024 NECO exam to have written and passed the NCEE ( National Common Entrance Examination).

Most importantly, all candidates will have to pay a certain amount to the National Examination Council before they are allowed to access the NECO registration portal. After your payment, Visit the portal with your PC or smartphone that is connected to the internet to commence your registration.

NECO Registration Portal Starting and Closing Date

The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the starting and closing dates for NECO registration in 2023. All intended candidates for the NECO exam are advised to commence their registration before the closing date elapses.

The management has scheduled the 13th of March, 2024 the starting date for NECo registration, and the 30th of May, 2023 the closing date for 2024 NECO registration.

Registration fee for NECO 2024

The NECO registration fee for both internal and external students is N12,000. All candidates are expected to pay the sum of twelve thousand Naira to NECO as their registration fee.

Internal candidates can pay through banks or to their school management depending on the school’s instructions and procedures.

Requirements for NECO Registration

To register for NECO examination 20234/2025 all candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the registration.

All candidates must have completed his/her secondary education or are in SS3 or SS2
4 Copies of Passport photograph
The Candidate’s address
Guardian/Maiden Names
An active email address and phone number
Candidate’s Local Government Area and State of Origin
Personal Information of the Candidate
Must have chosen 8 (minimum) or 9 (maximum) subjects for the registration
Compulsory biometric capturing

How to Register for NECO Examination 2024

The procedures for NECO registration are quite simple and easy. We have given the step-by-step approach below to successfully access the National Examination Council (NECO) portal.

Visit the official NECO registration portal at www.neco.gov.ng
Click the “Register” button and
Select to choose the examination type (SSCE Internal or External).
Provide your required details such as your name, date of birth, and address.
Upload your recent passport photograph and a valid ID.
Select your preferred examination center and subject combination.
Click on the “Submit” button to send your application
And print out the successful registration slip.

Note that if you are an internal candidate, your school will be in charge of your registration. All that concerns you is to provide the correct details required for the registration to the school management.
