About NCEE

The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) was established in 1904 and was first conducted in Jamaica in 1958. It is popularly known as Common Entrance Examination and is a systemized test taken by pupils in their 6th year of primary education for admission into Federal Unity Colleges. It is an exam written by primary school students in Nigeria.

Eligibility for the NCEE Registration

Here is the qualification for pupils who want to write this exam:

  1. You must be Nigerian schooling in a primary school in Nigeria.
  2. You must be in your final year in primary school.
  3. You must not be younger than ten (10) years of age or older than 13 years by September 2023.

When is the National Common Entrance Examination Scheduled to Hold in 2024?

The National Common Entrance Examination for the 2023 academic year is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 3 June 2023. This exam will hold in the thirty-six (36) states of the federation.

How Much is the Registration Fee for NCEE 2024?

The registration fee for NCEE is N4,500 for each candidate. Please Note that payments should only be made on the official NECO portal.

What is the Deadline for the Registration of National Common Entrance Examination?

Since the exam is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 3rd June 2024, the registration will close on the same day by 8:00 am. So, all candidates have been advised to register early to avoid any unfortunate surprises.

The National Common Entrance Examination Timetable 2024

Please Note that in a situation where the time on your question paper differs from the one written on the timetable, the time written on the question paper should be followed. Also, note that blind candidates and albinos are allowed to write for an extra thirty (30) minutes at the end of every paper. Blind candidates are to use the OBR Customized Braille sheet provided by NECO to write their exams.

Be warned that bringing in tablets, iPads, mobile phones, smart wristwatches or glasses, and calculators is highly prohibited and could lead to disqualification of the pupil.

Step-by-Step Guide on How to Register for NCEE 2024

There are basic steps for registering for National Common Entrance Examination. Follow these laid down steps to ensure a successful registration.

  1. The first step is to visit the official website of NCEE.
  2. Then create your account with an accessible phone number and an active email address.
  3. An instruction will be sent to your email of what to do next. Follow the instructions written down in the email. That will activate your account.
  4. A page for paying your registration fee will pop up. Pay your N4,500 registration fee with any of the following payment options – Wallet, Internet Banking, USSD, Card, or Bank Branch.
  5. Fill in the candidate’s biodata with the requested personal and academic information.
  6. Upload all required documents and your passport-sized photograph.
  7. When you are done with the application, click on “submit”.
  8. Print out a hard copy of your registration.

You must take extra caution whilst making your registration. This is because changes to your name, state of origin, or date of birth cannot be made after you have submitted your registration online.
