The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, and contribute positively to the community’s well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Provide counseling and education to patients on medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management and promote patient adherence to treatment plans.
- Conduct medication therapy reviews to identify and resolve drug-related problems, such as adverse reactions or therapeutic duplications.
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring expiration dates, to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, documenting interventions, interactions, and patient outcomes.
- Guide pharmacy technicians and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and the community through excellent customer service and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Valid pharmacist license in Lagos State.
- 2-3 years of experience in community pharmacy practice.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug therapy, and pharmacy practice standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and documenting patient care activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in pharmacy practice.
