Overview:  

The Community Pharmacist role at Kiyix Recruitment Hub in Ijesha, Lagos, requires a dedicated individual committed to patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, and contribute positively to the community’s well-being. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management and promote patient adherence to treatment plans.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews to identify and resolve drug-related problems, such as adverse reactions or therapeutic duplications.
  • Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring expiration dates, to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, documenting interventions, interactions, and patient outcomes.
  • Guide pharmacy technicians and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and the community through excellent customer service and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Valid pharmacist license in Lagos State.
  • 2-3 years of experience in community pharmacy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug therapy, and pharmacy practice standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and documenting patient care activities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in pharmacy practice.
