About NDIC

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation is a product of the recommendation given in the report submitted by a committee set up by the Board of Central Bank of Nigeria. The committee was set up to investigate the operations of the Nigerian banking system and the idea behind setting it up was due to the economic reform measures taken by the government.

Other major reasons for the establishment of the NDIC were to address the failure the then banks were experiencing, to avert the impending systemic crisis, and to manage the distress in the banking industry.

Eligibility Criteria for NDIC Recruitment

All candidates must have reached the legal adult age of eighteen (18) years.
Must have a legal and valid means of identification – voter’s card, national ID card, etc.
Must have all academic qualifications as required by NDIC.
Must have a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), WASSCE, or NECO gotten in one sitting.
The SSCE result must have at least five (5) credits; two credits in English and Mathematics respectively and three credits in three other subjects.
Knowledge and proficiency in the computer are advantageous for the applicant.
Applicants must also present their B.Sc. A certificate with at least Second Class Honors (Lower Division).
