The school was founded by an Agricultural Research order in 1975. Interestingly, the institute has a traceable history dating back to 1898, that was when the first precursor of the Department of Agriculture was founded by the then British Colonial Administration as an observatory Botanical Garden, Lagos.

Now the institution has grown into a leading research institution in Nigeria. Candidates must possess an NYSC certificate or letter of exemption
Applicant must be between the age range of 18 and 26 at the time of applying for this job offer
O’level certificates (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) with Credit passes in mathematics and English language
Applicants must be physically and mentally fit and sound for the recruitment process
First degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division is required, HND with a minimum of Upper Credit.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a screening exercise before resuming work.
